Yvonne Sherwood is a professor of biblical cultures and politics at the University of Kent, having previously taught at King’s College London and the University of Glasgow.  Professor Sherwood is a leading expert on the Bible and gender, religion and violence, and the phenomenon of secularization.  Her most recent book, published by Cambridge University Press, is Biblical Blaspheming: Trials of the Sacred for a Secular Age.
